Ms Tahmina Pearsall is an experienced consultant ophthalmologist who has performed more than 50.000 procedures. She has a special interest in complex cataract surgery and glaucoma. 

Ms Pearsall offers a full range of procedures for glaucoma treatment ranging from traditional surgical options such as trabeculectomy and tube surgery to minimally-invasive surgical techniques and laser surgery. She also runs a general ophthalmology service covering minor operations and all aspects of emergency care.

After qualifying from the University of Manchester in 1993, Ms Pearsall underwent extensive training in centres of excellence such as Moorfields Eye Hospital, St Thomas’ and Addenbrooke's (Cambridge). She was previously consultant ophthalmic surgeon and lead clinician for glaucoma at Whipps Cross University Hospital. She is currently a glaucoma consultant at Surrey and Sussex Hospital.

Ms Pearsall is devoted to educating her fellows, organising teaching sessions as well as continually providing lectures to other physicians in formal ophthalmology courses. She has been appointed as an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmology, London, and her research has won prizes both nationally and internationally.

She is a member of several professional medical bodies, including the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the British Society for Refractive Surgery. In addition, she is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London.
