Kingsbridge Healthcare Group are seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will be based at Kingsbridge Training Academy, Falcon Way but may be required to travel to other Company locations as and when required.

Hours 37.5 per week (evenings and weekends may be required on an ad hoc basis, employees will receive time off in lieu)

Job Summary

The successful candidate will actively support the Kingsbridge Training Academy team in the development and delivery of courses. This role is pivotal in the day to day running of Kingsbridge Training Academy and accordingly will need to exercise management over marketing, income generation, communications and personnel.
This role will directly support the senior team to ensure that Kingsbridge Training Academy functions as an autonomous organisation, whilst working within the Kingsbridge Healthcare Group.
This role requires someone with drive, passion and ambition to elevate this expanding business to the next level, including, working with staff to continuously provide high quality training programmes.
 

Key Responsibilities


Business Development
  • Market and sell the programme/schedule of training based on the organisations goals to expand locally and grow geographically.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations in terms of sales and market strategies for senior management
  • Identify and actively seek new business opportunities within target market to increase profitability.
  • Assist the Learning and Development Manager in the recruitment of associate trainers and faculty
  • Undertake outreach activities targeted at and with potential customers (visits, networking)

Financial
  • Ensure sales invoices are completed in a timely manner and are executed with accuracy.
  • Responsible for all new business quotations and ensure follow up of unsuccessful bids.
  • Monitor and review all budgetary spend and liaise with the Learning and Development Manager regarding the control of costs.
  • Have the analytical ability to spot trends, identify selling opportunities and increase capacity geographically.
 
Customer and Business Relationships
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and explore business opportunities of new training programmes in order to increase profitability
  • Prospect for potential new customers and turn this into increased business
  • Encourage and implement customer satisfaction surveys to increase positive reviews online
 
Brand and Marketing Management
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop Kingsbridge Training Academy’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Train and supervise employees providing guidance and contribute to the feedback of their performance.
  • Responsible for the marketing and selling of training courses. Monitoring completion of tasks by the Marketing and Training Assistant.
  • Monitor and regularly report on key performance indicators and management processes within areas of responsibility and take appropriate action to achieve improved service delivery and business objectives.
  • Promote, monitor, analyse and report on the effectiveness of projects to meet strategic and income generation objectives
  • Creating reports (with the Learning & Development Manager) on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for the Head of Training Academy.
  • Working with the Learning & Development Manager to ensure business KPI’s are achieved.
  • Assist the Head of Training Academy with tender bids and submissions
  • Ad hoc duties to meet business needs and requirements

Qualifications
  • Education to degree level *
If not educated to degree level- *5 years relevant management experience will be considered.
 
Experience  
  • A minimum of 1 year’s relevant management experience
  • Experience of delivering projects to deadlines/ targets
  • Business Development experience
Special Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Packages including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to impress
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A proven ability to build and manage teams
  • Additional knowledge of healthcare/medical training or course development experience would be an advantage
